A. We ask for a patron to present a photo ID and a proof of residence when asking for a library card.
A. The proof of residence can be many things that range from a bill to junk mail. We simply wish to establish where you are receiving mail. Some other things we can accept are automobile insurance with the address and voter registration cards.
A. At this time, there is no age restriction to how young a child has to be to get a library card. However, anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian to apply for the library card. Also, the same parent/legal guardian must also apply and be approved for a library card in order to link the accounts together.
A. Upon wanting to use your card, you will be asked by a staff member to apply for a new card. Depending if your card is expired or not, you may be asked to bring in an ID and/or proof of residence to update your information.
A. Staff members will ask for a mobile phone number and an e-mail address both when creating and updating a library account.
A. Yes, a smile. We will be taking your picture for the new library card.
